I really love the iPod speaker system I bought with part of my Christmas money. You get room-filling sound from your iPod, and I listen to it in the mornings and it really helps me wake up. Although it didn't help today because I overslept! And the arctic cold front arrived today, right on schedule, and it was so bitter that I was actually glad I was stuck at work all day and not out in it. The temperature dropped over twenty degrees, and fast. I know because my customers talked about it non-stop. "It's so cold out there!" "Stay warm!" etc. We are keeping our apartment nice and cozy, because if it's even a tiny bit drafty in here, Sable will start shivering and look even more pathetic than usual, if that's possible. It's funny to think now that we named him Sable because he was so black when we first got him. If we gave him a name based on what he looks like now, he'd probably be Patches, Wrinkles, Lumpy, Limpy, or Faded Gray. But he's still my puppy to me.

aunt connie here, our main computer has been out since Christmas so I am catching up on your posts, I want to read all the poems you have listed, know a few of them put some I need to read to recognize. So COLD!!!!! And we are in the deep south. Izzy the black cat is staring to pee on my bed, which infuriates me to no end cause I have to wash everything and we have at least 3 extra blankets on the bed. John wants to shoot her, but I think she knows her life is in jeopardy because now she goes outside like every hour and the front bushes are her potty box. I have to keep my bedroom door shut all the time which keeps my room friggging cold. But I will not let him shoot her. My favorite quality is mercy and I will have mercy on that incontinent cat if it causes my brain to explode. All my love to you take care, love aunt connie
