Sarah just bought an airline ticket to return to Beijing for the summer. I know this because on the way to this computer room, she ran past me in the hall and yelled, "Rebecca! I buy a ticket!"

So today I went to the dentist to get my cavity filled. My stomach dropped out the minute he said the word "injection," so he offered to do it without the injection, since my cavity is small enough. But in retrospect, the injection might have actually been better. There are two phrases that no dentist should ever utter, especially not to me. 1) "Try to relax." Relax? Why don't you just ask me to shit butterflies while you're at it? 2) "It's almost over." My dentist said this at least three times today, and it was true the last time, but by then I'd stopped believing him.

Sara fishing coins out of a fountain in Villers-Cotterêts. She did this (or tried to) at every fountain we saw on the trip!

Sara inside a big red phone booth in London. You can see my reflection in the glass, so this counts as a picture of both of us. She said there were lots of ads for phone sex lines taped inside.

Sara in front of St. Paul's. I was going to post the one of her in front of Notre Dame, but she blinked in that one.

Me with the Peter Pan statue in front of Great Ormond Street Hospital. I like his pose better than the one in Kensington Gardens. He's blowing fairy dust in your face and looks more mischevious. But this Peter's not the actual size of a little boy like Peter in the Gardens is.

These pictures came out well! I can't wait to see mine. I'm going to drop them off tomorrow to get developed. I really do look like a hella desperate homeless person in that first one. I love it! I have had an awful sore throat since coming back; I think the coughing French girl gave me the plague!

I love James Taylor, he always relaxes me and makes me feel better about life. I love the pictures. Grandma and Aunt Carla are leaving tomorrow for Birmingham to visit with Uncle Chris and his family. They wanted Eva and I to go, but she hasn't been doing well on her tests and I don't think it would be an excused absence so we are staying. I will try to do something adventursome Saturday. Athena is still going to school and working. Olivia quit her job at Subway and is glad but needs another job now and you know what a quandry that is, looking for a job. When you get rid of one problem there is always another one right around the corner. Juliana is working today, so I am actually alone for 1 whole hour. I need to sweep and vacuum, clean the bathrooms , sweep out our walk-in closet, John went in there with filthy boots on and it is nasty in there. I need to change my sheets to cooler ones, aren't crisp white sheets the best? Hope you have a great day or evening. All our love, aunt connie
