babygoose85: List seven random quirks/facts about yourself. I kept mine limited to facts that are specific to my time in France. I don't think they're very interesting, but here they are...
1. I go to the médiathèque (the library) every Wednesday.
2. Every time I hear the word hibernate, I have to suppress a giggle. It's a long story involving Marlene (the German assistant), how she learned the word in English, and how we both learned the word in French.
3. Ditto for the word batter.
4. Once I got so frustrated with one of my classes that I cursed at them too quickly for them to understand. I told them they were "fucktarded."
5. I am the second youngest and second tallest of the the seven foreign assistants at my school (Mariana from Mexico is younger than me, Nakeisha from Jamaica is taller).
6. There is a Jack Russell terrier who lives down the street from my school that I absolutely love. I bought a small bag of dog biscuits and give him one every time I walk by his house.
7. I am currently compiling lists of songs to add to my iPod, comments to write in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, and foods to eat as soon as possible once I get back in the United States.

Date: 2008-02-02 06:01 am (UTC)BWAH! How awesome! If I were a teacher, I'd totally say stuff like that all the time. Unfortunately, I'd be teaching in English, so I'd get fired. I really think one day I will say, "I'm sorry you're an idiot" to a customer. I can see it coming.
Let me see if I can guess what's on your food list-- bbq chicken and bleu cheese sauce, Grandma's spaghetti, Aunt Carla's peanut butter candy, Kroger pickles. Wait, now I'm just torturing you, aren't I?
I miss yuh, buh!
