Me, reading from JM Barrie and the Lost Boys: "In 1912, Nico left Norland Place School and joined Michael at Wilkinson's. Nico might not have reached Michael's academic heights, but he made a lasting impression on a number of his contemporaries at Wilkinson's, including the future Poet Laureate, Cecil Day Lewis."
Sara: "Well, everything comes up Birkin in the end, doesn't it?"
It turns out she also likes the imagery in the Book of Revelations. (So do I, in point of fact.)

alidiabin, I've decided to start posting NCIS episode recaps in this blog. They might not last, and I probably won't do them for every episode, but I think they'll come in handy for future reference later. Anyway, here are a few observations on last night's episode.
Notes on episode 9x02 Restless
Very simple guide: Plus sign (+) = the stuff I liked. Minus sign (-) for things I didn't like.
Writer: Steven D. Binder (Baltimore)
- I didn't get off work until 7, so I missed the first 15 minutes or so. That scene of our Three Musketeers digging through a pile of garbage? Yeah, Rebecca didn't see it. :(

Cote de Pablo can make anything look hot, even a red jumpsuit!
+ The first autopsy scene, with Gibbs, Ducky, and Palmer. The way Palmer kept trying to get in on Gibbs and Ducky's conversation and the looks he got from Gibbs made me chuckle.
+ A big mushy awww at Ziva sticking up for McGee when the kids picked on him. I love the friendship between them! They're like brother and sister.
- The second autopsy scene, with just Gibbs and Ducky. Geez, cheesy much? I know Ducky has a psychology degree and is a very eloquent speaker (God love him!) but his dialogue in that scene struck me as so darn corny and over-the-top. Oh, and he just happened to have one of Lindsey's cheerleader pom-poms on hand? Yeah, what was that doing in autopsy?
- A big ugh at Ziva sneaking into Tony's desk and reading his apology letter. Did anyone else flash back to the "That letter is not for you to read!" line that she said to Tony in Tell-All. Okay, I'll grant that there, Tony was reading Gibbs's mail to be nosy, while here, it seemed more like Ziva was reading Tony's mail because she was worried/concerned for him. But it still rubbed me the wrong way.
+ At the Tony/McGee interaction throughout. McGee (like Ziva) was concerned about Tony, and Tony was more respectful than usual of McGee. Especially liked the way Tony asked him for help in tracking down Stinky John, and Tony and Gibbs's exchange at the end: "You don't have to tell McGee." - "Yeah, but I should." I'll bet the Tony/McGee shippers are happy. I don't ship them, but I do like it when they get along.
- Because the case kinda felt like a rip-off of this 2007 episode of Law & Order: SVU, with an awfully similar storyline.
+ Because as a whole, I liked this episode much better than Nature of the Beast, which struck me as an overdramatic, poorly-paced mess.
++ Because next week, we'll meet McGee's grandma (Penelope's Papers)! I'll kill the writers if they don't handle this well.
Holy Moses, cuts are hard now. Why, LiveJournal, WHY?
