If you arent' feeling well along with a multivitamin try taking extra vitamin D3. Headcolds with a headache is running rampant through our house and it really seems to help. Also run a pot of steam on your stove, it warms the house and keeps the air moist, if you have a cold put onions in the water. Your house will stink of onions but they have natural components that kill bacteria and viruses. Old timers used to eat a raw onion a day to stay healthy. Also the fumes open up your nasal passages. LIke I said is's not the greatest smell but its a cheap remedy, John smelled some chopped onions yesterday and his nose started draining in no time. Rebecca be sure you have plenty of inhaler because this cold goes into your lungs and everyone has a dry cough for at least 2 or 3 weeks. John doesnt' smoke and he was wheezing and has just as bad a cough as I do. Not trying to sound preachy- Take care Love, aunt connie
Vitamin D3- you can safely take up to 1500mg for 2 weeks and then decrease to the regular dosage. Vit. D is what we normally get from the sun but since it's cloudy and most of us spend our days inside we are lacking: the "3" helps our body absorb the vitamin It is under $5 for a bottle of 60. Vitamin D helps boost our immune system. Also vitamin C!!!! Eat at least 1 citrus fruit a day. You can't o.d. on vitamin C, our body will expell what we don't need, the only thing is if I eat too much the acidity messes up my stomach and tears up my mouth.
