Harry Potter-ed out? Hardly.

I haven’t been to any Harry Potter events yet, but I have been busy doing other things I love (updating my iPod, walking Sable, playing Adam’s Wii, and visiting Grandma) as well as a few things I don’t love. I’ve hardly been able to go five minutes without wheezing, sneezing, or sniffling since I got here. I also gave my room and my closet a thorough cleaning yesterday, probably for the first time in years.

Last night Sara found a leaked copy of the final Harry Potter book online. There’s no way to know for sure if it’s real or not, but she said it looks authentic. It has the same font and illustrations as all the previous books, and even the three little stars that the publishers put at the top of every page. Sara read the ending and said that it was "fanfic-ish" and not what she expected at all. She said that she hopes it is just a clever ploy by a fan and not the real deal. But she won’t know until Friday at midnight. Just as she did with the last book, Sara plans to open this one to the back and immediately read the ending first. I don’t understand how she could do that, and I’m sure that many Potter fans would consider it sacrilegious. I’m hoping to make this book last four weeks; whether I do or not will depend on how many chapters it has, but I’m sure that I can make it last three weeks at least. I really have mixed feelings about this book. I’ve been reading Harry Potter since 1999, and I just can't believe that this is the last book. As much as I want to know how it ends, I don’t want it to be over.
